An anti-parenting-book book; or, a parenting book backed by actual social science research; or, not a parenting book at all, more an exploration of the ways the things we assume about children and what's best for them can often be wrong. There's no neat dot point list of tips to end each chapter, but the well laid out child development research makes for fascinating reading with good practical applications.
